On Saturday 12 September, Kevan visited Pelton Community Centre, where the Centre's Annual General Meeting was taking place. Whilst there, Kevan performed the official opening of the new stage in the main hall.

On Thursday 3 September, Kevan attended the official opening of the new Hitachi Rail Vehicle Manufacturing Facility in Newton Aycliffe.
It is predicted that the facility will generate around 730 jobs, and at the opening senior figures from Hitachi emphasised the facility's importance to the UK and European markets.

On Sunday 30 August, Kevan called in at the Stanley Music Festival, a free blues festival organised by Stanley Events held in Oakies Park.

On Saturday 15 August, Kevan called in at Sacriston's Party in the Park, a fun day organised by the Fulforth Centre and Sacriston Parish Council.

On Friday 3 July, Kevan called in at Tesco's Chester-Le-Street store to show his support for their National Food Collection, which is run in conjunction with the Trussell Trust and FareShare.
On Friday 19 June, Kevan visited his constituent Jim Brown, a veteran of the Arctic Convoys to present him with his Ushakof Medal, awarded by the Russian Federation in recognition of his wartime service.
On 17 June, Kevan met with constituents Kevin & Kathleen Haigh and Maureen Duffy when they attended a Climate Change Rally at Westminster.
